Child Welfare Certification Training - Assignments
Week I:
  1. Written test on child abuse and neglect law and related issue.
  2. Complete a set of questions relative to the Safety/Strengths/Risk Assessment document.
  3. Participate in a CPS assessment in which you will be required to conduct interviews and write the report.
Week II:
  1. Complete a single plan of care utilizing the computer-based application.
Week III:
  1. Interview a States Attorney.
  2. Complete web-based training modules: ASFA and MEPA/IEPA.
Week IV:
  1. A case example will be given for you to apply your knowledge of the Indian Child Welfare Act..
  2. All above assignments are due prior to receiving the Child Welfare Worker Certificate.
