Child Welfare Certification Training - General Information

Certificate

Trainees will receive the Child Welfare Practitioner Certificate upon satisfactory completion of the program. It is our expectation that trainees will make a commitment to complete the entire program when they enroll in a session.

Faculty

The Child Welfare Certification Training Program faculty is selected on the basis of their knowledge, experience and training abilities. The core training staff is from the UND Children and Family Services Training Center. They are supplemented by other trainers who have special topic expertise.

Cost

Children and Family Services Training Center provides the training at no cost. Participants are provided lodging that is prearranged at an off-campus site. Lunch will be provided at a UND cafeteria. Trainees will receive the dinner meal per diem reimbursement. The cost of the trainees' mileage must be covered by the employing agency. If the trainee chooses to lodge or dine at another location, the trainee or employing agency will not be reimbursed for these expenses.

Attendance/Absences

Attendance is required for the entire training program. If a trainee is absent, she/he will need to make arrangements with CFSTC to complete the work for that day(s) and reschedule to meet attendance requirements.
